Fence sitters and false hopes (Part 1)

To my good friend Saddiq, this is merely a statement from me to why I disagree to your recent blog http://saddiq109.blogspot.com/2010/11/i-support-you-neutrality-is-only.html. I hope you look at this as just a friendly debate and nothing more. I welcome your opposing views, and as usual I expect them to be good.

I have to disagree with your your point of segregation of races through parties. I believe the three component parties of BN should not solve problems of the own race they support, and should not try to garner the votes of the race they represent. We have come to an era where race is merely pigmentation of the skin. Nobody bothers with it, nobody cares. The new generation is tired of leaders wearing their traditional clothings and giving speeches of how they are going to solve the problems of the chinese, indians or malays. We have rarely heard of a politician speaking about the problems of MALAYSIANS. We keep hearing about BN's strategies on garnering chinese and indian votes, and keep failing .Why? Because they are trying to appeal to the people as indians and chinese but not as Malaysians. As an indian myself I dont see the point in giving our people new fountains or little India. If they want to make a difference, treat us equally as the Bumiputera, treat us based on what we are going to do,and what we can do. I speak on behalf of the non Bumi's when I say,we feel like these 'leaders' are trying to make us feel like inferiors. Art 153 gives the Bumi's not special rights but a special position. This which in turn makes us feel less special.
